The major gateways are Rome and Milan. Other cities include Florence, Genoa, Naples, Sienna and Venice. There are 20 National Parks on the Italian mainland. There are may great art treasures to be seen in northern Italy.  Sites of natural beauty can be found on the Cinque Terre and the Southern Alps.
