Air Travel
The major Transatlantic Gateways are London Heathrow, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh in Britain and Dublin and Shannon in Ireland. If including Britain and Ireland, depart from Ireland, to avoid any departure tax. Non stop Transatlantic service is offered by AA, AC, BA, B6, DL, EI, UA and VS. Connecting service is offered by AF, IB, KL and LH. Manchester Airport offers the best road and rail connections in Britain.

Chauffeur Drive
For those wishing freedom of movement but reluctant to self drive on the left, consider a chauffeur guide solution for up to 6 passengers. It is more expensive but pricing is set regardless of the number of passengers. For larger groups of up to 16 passengers, a 16 seat luxury mini coach can be arranged where the driver is a qualified guide. Baggage is restricted to one carry on.
We work closely with Glasgow based Little Chauffeur for Scotland only itineraries, or those starting or ending in Scotland. -
Rail Travel
LNER provides high speed service between London (Kings Cross) on the east main line to all stations to Inverness, with 2 trains per hour between London and Edinburgh., travel time is around 4.5 hour
West Coast service between London (Euston) and Glasgow operates hourly takin about 4.5 hours. East West cross country service is offered by several rail companies between various cities.
Regular Eurostar service, via the “Chunnel” is available from London (St Pancras) to both Paris and Brussels. -
Road Transfers
Airport transfers in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin is offered by out cab partners in those cities. They are also available for rail and cruise terminal transfers and are ideal for local day tours, with trained local driver guides.
Our London partner offers Cruise passengers sightseeing transfers to or from London and either Dover, with a stop in Canterbury; Harwich with a stop in Cambridge or Southampton with a stop at Stonehenge. -
Sea Travel
Britain is an island, so sea travel is prevalent. Several ferry companies serve the busy Dover / Calais route; Stena Line serve Harwich and Holland while DFDS serves Newcastle and Scandinavia. There is frequent service between Scotland and Wales to Ireland with Stena Line and Irish Ferries. Other services provide links to the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man. Caledonian MacBrayne service 26 islands off the West of Scotland and Northlink provides overnight service to Orkney and Shetland from Aberdeen, also regular service between Scrabster and Stromness on Orkney.

Unless otherwise specifically requested, only automatic vehicles are reserved for our clients, who are at least 25 years of age. All rates include: Unlimited mileage, Damage waiver (with deductible), Third Party Liability and Second driver.
Vehicles may be taken between Britain and Ireland at a supplemental charge but MUST be returned to the territory where it was rented. One way rentals will incur a drop-off charge. All drivers must be over 25 and hold a full, valid national license. An International Driving Permit is NOT required by holders of an American driver license. A passport must also be shown at the time of pick-up.
